Steam & Ice Therapy Ivanhoe
What is hot and cold contrast therapy?
Hot and cold contrast therapy has been around for thousands of years and involves a series of switching between hot and cold temperatures. The repeated switching between hot and cold temperatures can cause the dilation and constriction of blood vessels leading to a pumping effect of your circulatory system and immune system. This pumping effect is believed to increase circulation into the tissues and remove stagnant waste fluid out of the tissues throughout your body.
What are the benefits of hot and cold contrast therapy?

What to expect with your hot and cold contrast therapy session
Clients are instructed to begin the session in the steam room and then repeatedly switch to the ice fountain area, where small flakes of ice can be massaged over your body.
Sessions typically run between 30 – 60 minutes which allows for numerous intervals of hot and cold temperatures.
